Who is this King?
Look at this King, high and lifted up.
He is seated on the throne yet He is quick to leave it.
Yes, He is quick to step down from splendor and rush to the aide of His beloved.
His eyes are like flames of fire and at His side is His sword with which He uses to strike down all our enemies.
He charges into battle before we know which direction to fight.
The King returns carrying victory on His shoulders and hands it to us saying, "Child, this victory is your own."
Who is this King?
Who is this King who gives us His victory?
Who is this King who never ceases to rescue us with His mighty hand?
His hands bear our scars yet they are still mighty.
His shoulders carry our burdens yet they do not weigh Him down.
His eyes see our sin yet that doesn't turn His gaze away from us.
Who is this King?
Behold! The King, mighty to save, clothed in glory, and never ending!
Bend your knee to the King of kings and Lord of lords.
ALL HAIL KING JESUS!
you are exalted far above all gods. Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked."
